Jessica is a junior on Spartronics and is our mark Jessica is a junior on Spartronics and is our marketing and business lead. She loves horses and has 3 of her own. She even has her own riding lesson business. When she has time aside from school, robotics, and her business, she writes songs. Typically she does vocal and piano, but there are a few trumpet ones, too, her primary instrument.

Through running her business, she has learned a lot about being independent and has enhanced her marketing skills beyond what she learned in robotics. Her horses have taught her how to love herself and how to see beyond the surface of others. She believes robotics has taught her everything she knows about marketing and has made her a more motivated person overall.

@bainbridge_barn, one of our sponsors, is a great @bainbridge_barn, one of our sponsors, is a great place for Islanders of all ages to learn new skills through workshops.

One of these workshops is about Scratch programming for kids in the 4th-8th grade, and starts on October 22nd from 3:30-5:30. This workshop is a great opportunity for new coders or wannabee coders to dip their toes in, and for more experienced coders to work with and learn from even more experienced mentors.

Parents are more than welcome to join in on the fun with their kids. If you are interested, the registration link is on BARN’s website.
