Spartronics places in the second alliance at Glacier Peak!

It was a tough first competition, but thanks to our amazing team, we pulled through and finished in the #2 alliance!

At the helm of NEMESIS was the Spartronics Drive Team, including Everett Willmes – Drive Coach; Troy Edwards –  Driver; Zack Huck –  Operator; and Joseph Tappen – Human Player.

While Spartronics finished regular matches at Glacier Peak with a 4-7-1 record and ranked 30th among 34 teams, they were selected by the No. 2 Alliance leader Chill Out and their first pick, Royal Robotics, to compete for the quarterfinals. Spartronics, Chill Out and Royal Robotics finished the Glacier Peak playoffs with a 4-2-0 record.

The No. 1 Alliance, headed by Jack-in-the-Bot Team 2910 (Jackson High School) and one of the highest-ranked teams in the World in recent years, won the Glacier Peak competition, along with BremerTron Team 3049 (Bremerton High School) and The Revolution Team 360 (and a substitute ChainLynx Team 8248, Lincoln High School). Spartronics and its No. 2 Alliance beat Jack-in-the-Bot in both a Semi-Final match 89-65 and then again in the second Finals Match 89-61 but lost twice to the No. 1 Alliance in the Finals 82-40 and 94-75.

As a team, we have learned so much from that competition and can’t wait to see you at Bonney Lake on the 16th and 17th.
