Thanks to the talent of Rose Bandrowski, one of the marketing members, this newsletter has a new heading! Rose specializes in digital design, and uses a Wacom drawing pad to hand draw her designs. Rose has also drawn a custom image for our thank you cards, which have been ordered and should be here soon.

This year's robot has been named ARES, after the Greek god of war. Because of the nature of this year's game, which is based on medieval warfare, ARES ties in with our Greek theme and this year's game. ARES - or Advanced Robot Engineered for Siege - is nearing completion as the end of build season approaches.
Want to see ARES in action? Don't forget to RSVP to our Open House on March 2nd, from 6-8 pm! ARES, the FTC robot, and FLL robots will all be on display.

Spartronics member nominated for the FIRST Dean's List
|

Longtime Spartronics member Clio Batali has been nominated by team mentors to (hopefully) receive the Dean's List Award, limited to sophomores and juniors. This is a prestigious award that FIRST gives to FRC members who have demonstrated leadership and commitment to the ideals of FIRST, interest in and passion for a long term commitment to FIRST, ability to motivate and lead fellow team members, and other admirable characteristics.
Clio has been on the team since its inception and in her time here has been the marketing subteam leader, electrical/pneumatics subteam leader, on the drive team, and is now one of the team captains. This year Clio also became the team's first female driver. Congratulations Clio!
