GAEA completed and bagged; Competition season upon us

Open House a huge success
by Aila Ikuse
Thank you to everyone who came to our community Open House! We had a massive turnout, with around 500 people in attendance. In case you missed it, Spartronics demonstrated the different steps that go into building a robot with our various subteams. Each subteam had a presentation that explained what they did and how they related to robotics. The FTC teams at the middle schools also presented, with a demonstration of our completed new robot GAEA.
We received many compliments on a smoothly run Open House, but we could not have done it without all the support we receive from our community. Thank you to our sponsors, media representatives, mentors, Coach, parents, and friends for making this possible. Learn more in the Kitsap Sun, Bainbridge Review, or Inside Bainbridge!

GAEA Completed and Bagged!
by Aila Ikuse
Our six week build season ended on February 17th, and GAEA was finally bagged and tagged. The team stayed up late, working against the clock. When all was said and done, we partied. Glitter, poppers, and balloons flew everywhere, cake and sparkling cider appeared, and dancing was abundant. GAEA is around 6 ft tall, and can successfully lift 6 totes with a recycling container on top, thereby potentially earning our alliance a large amount of points. Check out the video we made to celebrate GAEA's completion!
