During the past six weeks 50 Bainbridge High School students and their adult mentors have been quietly building a robot capable of firing foam boulders, scaling walls and capturing towers. With building, programming and testing now complete, the members of Team Spartronics are ready to introduce ARES—Advanced Robot Engineered for Siege—during a Community Open House Wednesday, March 2, 6-8 p.m. in the BHS 300 Building.
Also presenting at the event will be the local FTC (FIRST Tech Challenge) middle school robotics teams, as well as four independent FLL (FIRST Lego League) elementary level teams. These teams will be showcasing their robots from this year's competition season.

On the 23rd of February, the 2016 build season concluded for teams around the world. As a team, we bagged the robot and celebrated with hot chocolate and cookies. ARES was finally complete!
So what's next? After Open House, which is on Wednesday, March 2nd from 6-8 pm in the 300 building at the high school, competition season begins. The first competition is from March 11th - 13th, at Glacier Peak High School. Be sure to follow along on social media for updates!
