Our six week robot build season for Spartronics Team 4915 -- which is comprised of 50 students, a dozen professional mentors and Coach Chee -- is coming to an end on Feb. 18 and we wanted to invite you to come meet GAEA, our new robot, before our FIRST FRC district competitions begin in March.

Come hear from us what we've been doing, while having the “hardest fun we’ll ever have.” You’ll meet our programming, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, 3D printing and CAD, rules and marketing subteams. Plus, you can also see what our two FIRST FTC middle school teams did their Rookie season!

Meet GAEA: Our New Robot!

Our robot’s name is GAEA: Grabber Actuated Elevator Automaton. The name of our robot originates from the Greek word “earth” and in Greek mythology Gaea was the

mother goddess who presided over earth. Her sons were Titans, among them was Atlas. Our Championship robot last year was named ATLaS.

GAEA can successfully grab and stack totes as well as recycling containers and transport them to the scoring platform. Our robot GAEA is quick sturdy, durable and this would not have happened from our diverse planning in both the construction process and programming.
