February 28, 2025 The Final Senior Spotlight! Our final senior of the year is Joyce Michalczuk, one of our Mechanics captains! They have been with the team for four years, their entire time at Bainbridge High School. Joyce has played a large part in constructing our last four robots and has also helped teach new members how to use various machines in the shop. They are widely considered a master teacher among new members. Joyce is honest and hardworking at competitions where they have deep insight into strategy, maintenance and problem-solving. Joyce’s dream career is in Civil Engineering, a field where all of these traits will assist them.We will see you next year with new seniors’s profiles!  Subteam UpdatesMechanics and Design:Mechanics and Design worked on making bumpers for the robot as well as continuing work on the climber. They also repaired our waterjet, which was facing some troubles.   Programming: Programming students individually worked on their assigned subsystems. They also began testing their code with prototypes made by Mechanics. Programming also worked on creating auto code for the autonomous section of the match.   Programming student-leader, Finn, gives the team a scouting overview ahead of out next competition!Electronics:Electronics worked on a designating where electronic parts will be laid out inside the robot. For programming and mechanical it is very smart to plan ahead to find the most optimal position.They also started wiring components that Mechanics finished machining.  Business + Marketing:Marketing made our robot’s sponsor plate! Thanks to all of our sponsors we are able to build a robot each year! Thank you!We went over our sponsors and donations.
