In this Issue: Strategy decided: Robot design and construction begins
As we close up Week #2 of the build season, the team has come to a consensus on the strategy for the game and the mechanics have designed a robot that optimizes our strategy (If you don't know what this year's game is, click here!).
While we are keeping things under wraps until the big reveal, we have been buzzing about the school starting the building process. Keep an eye out for a Save the Date on Open House next week!
So bare: Last year's robot, GAEA, has been stripped for parts. Looking forward to seeing them recycled on the new robot!
No room, no problem: What to do when there is no room for marketing? Set up in the hallway and take a selfie of course!
Mechanic mania: It's not all fun and games, as we have plenty of work to do to. Check out mechanic Will Hobbs drilling holes for bearings!
Game faces: Mechanic Jared Cordell and CAD student Hudson Gilmore tackles this year's game head on.
Girl power: Mechanics Quinn Dassel and Erin Kempkes work on a design for the scaling mechanism on the robot.
#MentorAppreciation: It really does take a village to build a robot. We couldn't do it without the help of our wonderful mentors!
